Here is the sharing experience from Ms. Saw Yu Lwin , 1st Year iMTM Student.
It’s a thrilling event that scouts for talented young athletes and offers them a chance to compete on a global stage in their future which can lead them to get a world championship. From the stands, it looked like a whirlwind of talent and dreams in motion. But behind the scenes, my fellow volunteers and I were weaving a different kind of magic – the invisible ballet of logistics, support, and pure unadulterated cheering. In this essay, I am going to provide the information about what I got from this volunteering activity, how it is important to my university life, and what I am expecting for further.
To being with, I wasn’t there as a player, sprinting towards glory. I was the friendly face behind the registration desk, the one who do not understand about Thai language and the other languages. What I understand is just only English which many of the players who I deal with, do not understand. I was like a person who can not speak due to the language barrier. Furthermore, there were moments of logistical mayhem such as dealing with losing luggage, forgotten schedules, and language hiccups that resembled impromptu comedy skits. But amidst the chaos, something profound clicked. The power of teamwork became more than just a textbook mantra. It was the high-five exchanged with a fellow volunteer after calming down a frustrated team. And I knew that how important the teamwork was and the communication. There were 7 volunteers including me. We were working together though our assigned jobs were not the same. By communicating with my teams, we all can handle for our jobs though we all cannot understand their language. By looking at this experience I have learned how important the communication and team work is and this lesson lighten up to mu university life to be good at teamwork and communication. To look further, I expected to have this kind of volunteer events in the future for the youths.
The TAR Asia Qualifier wasn’t just about football matches; it was about a global community united by passion among different kind of ages. It was about proving that even behind the scenes, with enough teamwork, we could create wonderful things. And that is a lesson I am taking with me beyond the pitch, to my classes, my friendships, and every opportunity to lend a hand. This volunteer opportunity was being an unforgettable event in my life ever.
