On the 5th of November, 2022, the International College International Startup Academy or IC I-SA held a “Green Ideation Workshop” for high school and college students. The workshop participants comprised high school students from different schools, such as Vajiravudh College, Kanarat Bamrung Pathum Thani School, and Panyapiwat Institute of Management Demonstration School. The college students are from Dhurakij Pundit University, Innovative Agricultural and Management, and the International College of Panyapiwat Institute of Management.
The workshop, led by Mr. Thannaphat Kasemwattanasuk, the head of IC I-SA, equipped the participating students with the knowledge of the design thinking tool and how to create ideas for the existing market problems with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students were also given tips on preparing the pitch deck and pitching tips by Mr. Jittrapon Jirakulsomchok from the National Innovation Agency of Thailand or the NIA. The session also featured a special panel interview with two notable startups. First, Mr. Nattapak Atichartakarn, the CEO of Trash Happy Lucky, a startup focusing on recycling with a reward system for customers, and secondly, Ms. Kanwra Tanachotevorapon, the CEO of Meat Zero, a business that focuses on the production of plant-based meat suggested pitching ideas to the students.
“This workshop has shown us that these young generations are full of capabilities and want to see the world become greener and better,” said Mr. Thannaphat. He added, “the participating students are extraordinary and have so much knowledge. We look forward to the generation that will make this world more sustainable.”
The workshop is no doubt the first milestone both for the organizers as well as the participating students. The International Startup Academy will conduct more of these activities to boost the knowledge and awareness of the students globally. With partnerships from all over the globe, we are confident that we will take our organization to the next level.
