Here is the sharing experience from Mr. Kyaw Wai Yan Tun, 1st Year iMTM Student.
During the period, I had to take care of one football team from Indonesia, Next Bali Generation. My role was to make sure that the team has the best experience during their stay in Thailand and to help the team with their needs such as giving them match schedule, bus schedule, and contacting with the hotel or TAR organization in case they needed something else. In this short period of time, I learned a lot, especially time management which I have poor experience of.
Moreover, I also had to deal with a lot of problems, such as miscommunication and language barrier. But I was able to solve most of the problems by properly having an explanation on what the team needs with the hotel. ‘Thus, this volunteering session can help me with my time management and problem-solving skills for my student life. I had a lot of fun times interacting with the team I was in charge of. Not only the players and coaches were friendly, their parents were also friendly towards me. One of the most impressed experiences would be watching the team overcome any obstacles because of their teamwork and hard work. I felt very impressed with their skills and also felt very happy to watch them win most of the matches. Not only that, I also had good experience in working with students from other universities.
From this activity, I hope to improve my time management for my studies and improve my management skills when I start my own business.
