About our hackathon
The PIM International Hackathon, provides a platform for the young generation to think green and innovatively and develop a viable and green business model that promotes net zero and carbon offsets, generates profitability, creates a sustainable impact on society, and penetrates the international marketplace for scale-up horizontally.

Our Objectives
- To provide a platform for the young generation to increase awareness of environmental causes, gain further opportunities for their business model, promote a Zero-Green-Clean Economy and create a better place for living.
- To encourage students to think ahead as an enterpreneur who implements sustainable practice in scaling up a viable, innovative business innovation in the international level.
- To reflect on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) as the guideline in the business model formulation.

- All full-time and part-time undergraduate students or full-time high school students in any degree program.
- Each team must contain THREE to FIVE members in total (excluding the faculty advisor).
- For the University League, each team is recommended to have the support of ONE faculty advisor from the institution the team represents (Optional) *
- For the High School League, each team is required to have the support of ONE faculty advisor from the institution the team represents*
- All members should be currently enrolled in this institution. Members from cross-faculties within the same institution or from different institutions are acceptable.
NOTE * This is to ensure that the team is endorsed to represent the academic institution in the competition, which will be confirmed through the faculty advisor of said institution

How many teams are selected for the qualifying round?
We typically select 30 to 40 teams each year, depending on their ideas and business models.
When is the deadline for application submission?
The deadline is 23:59 on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
How many team members are allowed in one group?
Each team consists of 3 to 5 members. Members from different institutions are allowed, provided each member is currently enrolled in these institutions.
How do I register?
You can fill out the online application at this link <https://bit.ly/4b9qLtS>. On the application, you need to provide all requested details and attach the presentation slides and a link to a 1-minute video pitching clip uploaded to YouTube with public access.
How many rounds are there in the competition?
There are three rounds of competition: the qualifying round, the semi-final round, and the final round.
What are the most important criteria to win the competition?
At the PIM Inter Hackathon, we emphasize business ideas or models that clearly address a problem, provide unique value to create a sustainable societal impact, have a high potential for scaling up, and are attractive to investors.
How often is the PIM Inter competition held?
The PIM Inter is held once per year, typically in November and December.
Can participants from the previous year participate in this year’s competition?
Yes, participants from the previous year’s competition can compete again if their proposed ideas did not reach the final round or were not finalists in the previous year.
How will I know if my team qualifies for the next round of the competition?
Teams that have submitted the online application, along with the video clip and slide presentation, will find out if they qualify for the next round during the live opening reception event on November 1, 2024. Qualified teams will then be scheduled for virtual mentoring sessions, with details sent to the email provided by the team.
